Thank you for your comments; had I not cropped the top so tightly it might have given more of a sense of place. This woman's face still haunts me.

Thanks for your reply. Her facial expression speaks of discomfort, resignation, and sometimes a little hope. I've seen it before. |

WOW!! Your patience really paid off. It's a beautiful landscape in every aspect, and gives the viewer a sense of crisp morning air. I agree that your colors may be a bit over-saturated, and I would suggest you crop down a bit from the top and from the right side. Nice work.

This belongs in B&W. An ideal image of "solitude" and a great sense of place. I might crop a bit more from the bottom, not too much. The surf appears a little blown out; back off a little on the brightness. Overall a wonderful image.

Great balance and symmetry in this photo, which almost looks like a painting. The grassy fields seem to lead my eyes up to the subject, the barn; the dark sky makes it stand out. I might try a slight darkening of the overall exposure,( emphasis on "slight".)

This is a beautiful and very powerful capture. Even 3 days after Ian's destruction, there is still an angry mood to the sky and to the waves, which your colors portray. I thought I might suggest a crop, but decided it should stay as it is. |
