41 Oct 22 Reply Hi Tom. Regretably my very bad eyesight doesn't allow me to see things in such detail. To have completed the picture is my triumph. Oct 10th
41 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Tom. I hear you. I'm sorry you find the Topaz filter I used, to be unpleasant. It's the effect I wanted. Oct 10th
41 Oct 22 Reply Good comments. Thanks Brian. Yes I accept your suggestion of the crop being a good option. I appreciate your considered comments here. 😬 Oct 6th

41 Oct 22 Comment Hi Tom. This is so interesting. I looked around and around it several times. I really like the texture of the faces in frames and love the concrete background. I felt the figure in front didn't quite fit in and wonder if it might benefit from a small amount of texturising too. Personal taste here, but I felt the figure (left) didn't quite fit in either and I wondered at the purpose you're trying to convey?
You've created a most interesting shot here. All good.

41 Oct 22 Comment Hello Brian. I too hadn't heard of the concept but now I want to give it a try myself. I love your rendition here. I like the balance and I like the weight of placement of each module, and I especially like the long rod (?) that weaves on top of some and under other sections. I agree with Brad's suggestion to try a few drop shadows (I think small ones) to create a 3D effect. Very nicely done. 👠Oct 5th
41 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Brad. My idea here was to make the scene look similar to the world we know, yet quite unreal. I originally placed the moon higher in the shot but thought it looked too 'normal' and so I moved it so it was looming large. My other title for the picture was "The World as we didn't Know it". 85 Oct 22 Comment That looks an exciting place to be. It's as if the rock has swallowed up the road and you see the road going into the rock and not coming out the other side. I would like to see a little more richness in the colours, if that's possible, especially on the right side of the picture (roads/rocks). Yes, as the others have said, a little crop off the left side might sort out how the balance between rocks and sea shows up. Well done Lisa. Oct 9th
85 Oct 22 Reply Thanks so much Don. I appreciate your comment. Yes, we were in the area for 6 days and this was the most we got to see the mountain top. We were there back in June and on that occasion cloud shrouded the mountain top for the entire time. Oct 9th
85 Oct 22 Reply Thanks for the comment, Peter. I don't use LR, but might be able to alter it in Photoshop. I think cropping to the heavy cloud line would bring it too close to the peak of the mountain, which is barely visible anyway. We were in the locality for 6 days and that was the only time the mountain top was visible. Oct 7th
85 Oct 22 Reply Thanks for the comment, Drema. I'll take a look. Oct 7th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hi Don. What an interesting shot. To be honest I like your uncropped version showing a wider view with curvature. It's gorgeous. My only suggestion would be to brighten up the colours. It's a very cool shot and needs showing off. Well done. Oct 5th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hi Janos. What a thrill to get iceberg photos. There are such rich colours in this shot. The only thing I might change is to reduce a small amount of sea from the lower edge and lift the top edge to give a little more sky balance to the shot. You must have taken lots of photos. I know I would have. 👠Oct 5th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hi Lou. This is colourful and interesting. I'm not sure what an infield of the fifth third field might be, but perhaps it's something to do with sports? It's the kind of shot I would like to take but we don't have anything like that, where I live in New Zealand. Well done. Oct 5th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hi Pete.
Wow, what a beautiful shot you have here. I love all the colours, especially the sky. If it was my shot I might consider pulling back the two clouds cut through along the top edge, but on the other hand it might not be worth it. Congratulations on a great shot ðŸ‘

85 Oct 22 Comment I think this is great and quite agree with you about the beauty of the long shadows. The first thing that struck me, when I saw this picture, was how lovely the late day colours are. Well done. Oct 5th
