John-I am sorry to miss you at the PSA conference because of your wife's health condition. This is another image that I can't make proper comments because of less knowledge of Veteran's history otherwise both images look fine to me except I noticed a hot spot on right side of lower image which can be removed.

Debbie- I do agree with Jesse comments to tone down but only background and not pond. I wish if slower shutter speed with
tripod was used to create smooth flow of water fountain otherwise your image has very soothing and pleasing effect.

Pricilla-I missed you in PSA Conference! Yes, I do agree with Debbie's comments to improve this image. Content aware is very useful tool in this kind of situation.You could patch all empty space with greenery using this tool and then make cropping from top and left side and see what an improvement you made and compare with your original image!

Jesse-You did a good job!Nice expression, pretty sharp all over, skin tone is natural and looks perfect. Yes, to further improve I would leave more space on top and I would repair catch light in both eyes to make in round shape in PhotoShop as shown with my comments.
