Great suggestions, thank you. That black bit on the right is just a bit of the stair rail and I agree it needs to go. Ultimately, I think I walk away from this image. |

I really like the layers in this...brown stone in foreground, then the tulips, then the fountain, and finally the Capitol. You did a great job of holding the camera level. Well done! |

I think I envy your camera club! On old upright Underwood would fit the bill for this shot...used to have one of those, but all the props look just fine. Great photo and cudos for setting it up so well that you didn't have to do post-processing. |

One final thought...the painting in the mirror is of RBG. Perhaps the flowers and RBG are speaking to each other. |

I think the reflections/layering is difficult to figure out. Maybe I like that, but more likely it is a deal breaker for me and this image. There is a mirror on the mantel, with beveled edges, so what you are seeing with the face is a painting hanging on the wall across the room. Likewise with the column on the right, that is a feature of an opening across the room. The bevel adds a bit of complication to the reflections. I've attached a photo with the painting removed and also just a picture of the mantel itself, to give you a better idea of that feature. I actually rather like the mantel picture on its own. Thanks for your input. |

Great photograph! I admire your ability to use Photoshop. I struggle with it but your edits look great. How did you learn the system...trial and error, youtube tutorials, or "Help" inside of Photoshop? At any rate, as a photographer of dying flowers, I love this banana timeline. |
