Thank you for your careful viewing and for your comments Brian. Here is the image in color. I do prefer B and W. Though the carpet does stand out more in color. Stephen Levitas wanted to see more of it, and in this version you can see the edge of the carpet, closest to the viewer, more clearly. |

Alas, you are correct...no possibility of reshooting. The original is not larger, plus there was a table (or bench) in the foreground blocking the view of the carpet. Had there been people in the setting that would have been an opportunity. Still, I find myself drawn, many times, just to structures...doors, windows, stairs etc...by themselves. |

Great abstract! It is easy to spend a lot of time with this image. I can see lots of things...almost like there are large fronds from a palmetto tree laid out. Glad you got it before it went away. |

I am enjoying this photo and the way you adjusted it. It really is a crisp, cold day. One thing I might consider is removing that half a car or truck you can see in the distance. I like the shapes of the houses and so forth, and my eye is led across the photo from the bottom left and then up through the middle, between those trees, to the house and the sky but the auto is distracting to me in that visual journey. |

This is a great scene and one thing among many that I like about the capture is the way my eye is led from the three people, into that triangular space and then across to the cars and train and ending by being led by the second set of tracks to the bottom right. |
