99 Apr 26 Comment Robin, Congratulations on being in the showcase! The image is terrific; it's interesting to see a color picture from you. Very nice work. Apr 19th
99 Apr 26 Reply Thanks, Barbara. Apr 9th
99 Apr 26 Reply Thank you, Peter. Apr 9th
99 Apr 26 Reply Thanks, Robin. I should have removed the warm toning on this, as you say. An oversight on my part. Thanks for your feedback. Apr 9th
99 Apr 26 Comment Julie--I am enjoying your swamp pictures. The three trees each have their own personality, and the reflections give additional interest. Your placement of the owl in the composition is just right. The fact that there is no horizon because of the fog creates a mysterious feeling. I like this image a lot. Apr 9th
99 Apr 26 Comment Mark--I like IR because I like the surreal whiteness. This seems like a particularly appropriate subject for IR with the dynamic sky, the beautiful old lampposts, and the path contrasting with the silvery lawns and trees. The human figures appear so tiny but they remind us this is a man-made landscape designed to seem perfect. Beautiful. Apr 9th
99 Apr 26 Comment Robin--This is, indeed, a wedding photograph with a difference. The violence of the water, the treacherous rocks visible in the background, and the "bride's" obvious distress suggest a metaphor for marriage, I think. A very creative and unusual image. Nice job. Apr 9th
99 Apr 26 Comment Peter--A very good joke! The bird is somewhat sinister and the man with his birdwatching gear is happily oblivious. First it surprised me, then it made me laugh. Great fun. Apr 9th
99 Apr 26 Comment Maude--Perhaps I'm wrong, but it looks to me like it is actively snowing which adds another element to the story. The tree is wonderfully gnarley and looks strong and resilient in the extreme conditions. It speaks to me of fortitude and independance in a harsh world. It makes an eloquent minimalist composition. 99 Apr 26 Comment Barbara--You recognized an unusual and interesting composition in an unexpected place and made the capture. Bravo! The juxtaposition of the bridge structure and the "UFO" is intriguing, and the little lights are a wonderful detail. I love it. Apr 9th
