Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
99 Jan 26 Comment Hi Julie! Welcome to the group. I, also, love minimalist images and this study of grass really appeals to me. Just for fun, I'm pretending to myself that the horizontal dark area is an alligator lurking just below the surface. (It's not, is it?) Kayaking in a Louisiana swamp sounds hair-raising to me, but what a great photographic opportunity. Nice work. Jan 22nd
99 Jan 26 Comment Mark--A lovely flower portrait, perfectly rendered in monochrome. I'm sure the color image is beautiful, too, but the silvery petals are really outstanding in b/w. Excellent. Jan 22nd
99 Jan 26 Comment Robin--I also would have taken a picture of these two; they are irresistable. The guy's drawers are the main element for me. Good grief -- camo underwear?! The figure of the girl bothers me somewhat: such an odd place to take a nap -- what's going on? Drugs? I like the strong lines of the railings which seem to be providing necessary containment for the figures. I find this a challenging image; that is what makes it work in my opinion. Jan 21st
99 Jan 26 Comment Peter--I always enjoy your work with models. This "Marilyn" is beautiful in her own right so I guess I don't see the need for the costume and wig. I like the full frontal face, and at first I wasn't sure about the hand but it does help to feature the face so I think it works. It's fun to photograph someone who is comfortable with the camera and who can work with you. This is a lovely image. I like the background. Nice work. Jan 21st
99 Jan 26 Comment Maude--A disturbing image! Like Robin, I find the unexpected scale of eye and room unsettling. The idea of an entity that can peer into our private lives is relevent in our technology-oriented world. Thanks for showing us this unusual and entertaining image. Jan 20th
99 Jan 26 Comment Barbara--Nice and sharp, which is what's required for this subject I think. The dynamic quality of the "petal" suggests movement; it reminds me of someone's coat blowing out behind in the wind. I love the solid black background to isolate
the subject. Beautiful.

99 Jan 26 Reply Thanks, Robin. I believe the object on the dock is a chunk of wood. Thanks for your nice comment. Jan 20th
