99 Dec 25 Comment Mark--The repetition of these beautiful arches is like visual music. The two figures provide scale without detracting from the main event which is the architecture. You mention a rainstorm which perhaps accounts for the tracks on the floor. I kind of wish those weren't there but it is a wonderful image none the less. Dec 19th
99 Dec 25 Comment Robin--The the main figure of the young man is compelling. His hands are a prominent and interesting element as he carefully pours the water for his friend. The curtain of hair across his face adds an unexpected mysterious quality; he is almost christ-like. The hair of the second person echos the man's hair nicely. I like this very much. Dec 19th
99 Dec 25 Comment Peter--You caught the action at just the right moment. The body-language of the two cricketers and the ball still in mid-air really conveys the exciting action. I love sports photography and I think this is a splendid image. The sharpness looks good, and the dark background is perfect to showcase the light-colored figures. Perhaps there will be more sports photography to come? Dec 19th
99 Dec 25 Comment Maude--You have beautifully captured the movement inherent in dance. I like the main figure very much, but I'm not so sure about the second ghost-like figure on the left. It seems to take attention away from the main subject without really adding anything. This image looks like it was a lot of fun to create. Dec 19th
99 Dec 25 Comment Barbara--I love everything about this image. The sharply presented silos are beautiful in their regularity and interesting textures. The roofs along the lower edge add to the narative. The brooding sky provides a perfect background for the well-lit silos. You saw an opportunity and made the most of it. Terrific image. Dec 19th
99 Dec 25 Reply Thank you, Maude. I looked back at the originals from that shooting session because I have several of this group of musicians; none of them show the top of the instrument. I was very focused on his face and sacrificed the instrument for the closeup. I see your point in any case. Dec 19th
99 Dec 25 Reply Thank you, Stephen. Cropping more from the bottom edge makes sense, I think. Thanks for the suggestion. Dec 19th
99 Dec 25 Reply Thanks, Barbara. I think you're right about the two bright areas, which I hardly noticed. Dec 19th
