58 Aug 25 Reply Thanks, Bruce. I imagine this building is still being occupied; it's right in the heart of Budapest so likely valuable real estate. Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Reply Thank you, Pinaki. Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Reply Thanks, Bev. I guess I was thinking in pretty broad terms about street photography, but now that you mention it maybe this wasn't a good choice. I like the cleaner look of your version. Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Reply Thanks for the correct information, Pinaki! It is beautiful in any case. Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Comment Ed--I have to admit I'd like a little less of the chaotic background, mainly the driftwood, and more emphasis on the diver in his red gear. He looks anxious to get in the water. Composition-wise the sign on the right is awkward but I like what it contributes to the story -- Danger! Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Comment Bruce--I've seen African vendors in Europe but I wasn't familiar with the "rope trick" to skedaddle quickly when the police show up. The scene is busy and somewhat chaotic: the man in red with the dynamic attitude is obviously the main interest, especially since the two figures on the right and left edges are looking at him. I don't know what to say about the guy in the white baseball cap; who is he to the guy in red? An accomplice? I like your Original 2 shot quite a bit as well. Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Comment Pinaki--I like the positions of her hands which tell the story for me. Her face expresses her happiness involvement with the festival. I love her beautiful red skirt. Very nice image. Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Comment Bev--I always like to see these chalk artists because of the photographic possibilities of their colorful creations. She is brave to wear white for such an activity. I like her blue glasses. A very nice image. Aug 30th
58 Aug 25 Comment Isaac--I've heard Viet Nam is beautiful and interesting. Your information about the ethnic groups is fascinating; I've heard of the H'Mong because there has been a H'Mong community in Seattle for a long time, but I'm unfamiliar with the others. Your colorful peppers are indeed appetizing. A nice image of commerce in a place where things move at a more human pace. Aug 30th

99 Aug 25 Comment Mark--What a great architectural shot. I'm glad the people are there to provide scale, and, lordy! all those lines! I love it! Aug 31st
99 Aug 25 Comment Robin--Wonderful image; wonderful story. I like that you chose to isolate the doll against the black background. It seems like it's emerging from the darkness of all those years underground. I hope you will take many more pictures of this phoenix-like doll and share some of them with us. Aug 31st
99 Aug 25 Comment Peter--She looks bored to me (I've been in the NPG and I don't know how one could be bored there), and it bothers me that she has her fingers in her mouth. Having said that, I think your mention of the lettering on the wall is interesting. In general, I like writing in images. In this image the writing on the right seems fine, but the writing on the left is too much. Does that make sense? Aug 31st
99 Aug 25 Comment Barbara--I love your botanical studies. This is lovely: the curve of the stem, the star-like flower and the drooping flower lower down, all create a peaceful minimalist feeling. The black line framing the whole image is a good choice, I think. Aug 31st
