58 Aug 24 Reply Bruce--Thanks very much. Aug 29th
58 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Isaac. As I responded to Ed, I think the cathedral in the background is vital to the narrative. Just my opinion. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Reply Ed--My feeling is that cropping out the cathedral in the background means taking away a major point of the story about this visitor in Venice. Yes, he has his back to it but it's an important element in my opinion. Thanks for your interesting comments. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Reply Thank you, Pinaki. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Reply Thank you, Sergio. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Bev. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Comment Sergio--A classic monochrome street image. The location of the figure at the center of the bright area is good. The shadowy city in the distance and the lone figure tell a story of urban isolation. Very nice. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Comment Ed--I'm sorry, but this image doesn't convey much to me. The group of figures is not interesting and the lens flare is a major distraction. I can certainly relate to "photographing the photograpers," when they become the more interesting subject. Good effort. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Comment Bruce--I love this image! I wouldn't change a thing. I think the crop is appropriate, although I might take some off the top edge. Wonderful! Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Comment Pinaki--I agree with Isaac's crop because the story is really about the boys. The colorful tiles add an interesting element. The people in the background are oblivious and tell their own story. Nice work, Pinaki! Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Comment Bev--I have to agree that this doesn't seem "street" to me. Howevrr, it's a nice portrait of two women. I have a little trouble with prominance of the arm. Aug 21st
58 Aug 24 Comment A wonderfully colorful image. I particularly like the lady with the red headwrap. The composition seems nicely balanced. Aug 21st

99 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, John. I suppose removing the table and chairs could, in theory, be done by someone with Photoshop skills, but it's far beyond my capabilities. Aug 29th
99 Aug 24 Reply Thank you, Peter. I got a kick out of the "health warning." Aug 29th
99 Aug 24 Comment Thank you, Gerard. Aug 29th
99 Aug 24 Reply Thank you for your comment, Robin. Aug 29th
99 Aug 24 Reply Thank you, Barbara. Aug 29th
99 Aug 24 Comment Thanks, Gary. I see your point about the tables and chairs. Aug 29th
99 Aug 24 Comment Robin--This is a beautiful image and knowing the history adds to the interest. I like the dark vignette at the top edge; I like the sky which is nicely expressed with the right amount of contrast; I like the field with the tracks leading one's eye off into the distance. I admit to a bias against phone photography but this superb image is hard to argue with. Aug 17th
99 Aug 24 Comment Peter--What a wonderful portrait of a very expressive man and a very beautiful beast. Unfortunately, the tent and people in the background are a distraction. Pe9rhaps nothing can be done about it; the subject is so obviously worth shooting even with the background. This image made me smile. Aug 17th
99 Aug 24 Comment Gerard--This image looks like it was taken in the 19th century - that's a good thing! It has a lot of atmosphere and the beached boats suggest abandonment (although I suspect they will re-float on the tide). I like the wide landscape format. Beautiful. Aug 17th
99 Aug 24 Comment Barbara--I thought this had to be a drone shot so it was interesting to find you took it from a balcony. Great vantange point! I really like this image. The mist cloud adds a lot to the scene and suggests the raging water of the falls. I've never been to Niagra Falls but I think this perspective tells the story well. I like the monochrome. Very nice image! Aug 17th
