Hi Ed -- I would suggest cropping tighter to eliminate the white area on the right and the bright spots along the bottom. |

Hi Bev -- I would suggest cropping more closely, mainly to reduce the promenence of the "belga" sign, but also to bring more attention to his face. |

Hi Isaac -- The first thing I saw was the lady on the left with her arms crossed who seems to be giving her opinion about something. That then led my eye to the seated man with the fancy glasses. Then the stars of the scene, the dogs were finally revealed! An interesting narrative to contemplate. |

Hi Bruce -- I have lots of pictures of children taken in public places. I would - and have - occasionally used such an image in these discussion groups, but I would likely not use it in anything published (not that I have images published, but just on general principles). I agree with Sergio's edit. The missing feet don't bother me and this crop puts more attention on the face/expression -- he's whistling while he works! I also like the stairway showing; it gives more information about the setting. |

Hi Pinaki -- I agree with Sergio's crop. The repetition of the lovely shape of the earthen jars is very appealing to me. Nice work. |

Sergio- I love this image. It is dynamic and has immediacy and movement. You present it in color; and I think it looks good in color; but in my opinion it would also be a good monochrome subject. Congratulations on a nice capture. |

Hi John -- I also wished for more of his face but didn't realize it until later when I looked at it on the computer; I probably could have done something. Oh well. Thanks for the nice feedback. |

Linda -- thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback. The vignetting you propose really creates a different mood. I wish I could give this guy a copy of this image. It shows off his bike pretty well and I bet he'd like it. Alas, this was taken several years ago and we were just strangers passing through. |

Hi Gerard -- I see the point about the white line. The subject would work just as well without it. |

Linda -- I love your bird portraits. Wonderful detail of those deadly talons, the pattern of the feathers, and the twisted branch. Excellent. |

Hi Peter -- What a neat opportunity to make a nice portrait of this interesting-looking gentleman. I like that you enlisted his cooperation and were able to get a good formal portrait rather than if you had been stealth and used a long lens without his knowledge. I like the tone and what you did with the background. Beautiful details of the lines around his eyes and beard. Congratulations! |

Hi Gerard -- this is lovely; cold and minimalist. I wouldn't change a thing. |

Hi Barbara -- To me this looks like an illustration in a children's book because the deer look like creatures in an enchanted forest. The vignetting gives it an other-worldly feel. Lovely. |
