Isaac -- this is wonderful. I love the narrative about these guys getting a taxi ride on a motor bike. The four expressive faces looking right at the viewer makes this image so immediate and real. The color treatment is excellent. The red jacket, blue elements, and yellow helmet are terrific. Your use of burst mode is genius. I don't use it often and this image is a great example of why one should use it. Congratulations! |

Thanks, Peter. I appreciate your comments about the arrangement of the people which is always an interesting element to me. No need to apologize for a little lateness; I did not have internet access for most of October which made participation difficult. I'm back on track for November. |

Thank you, Tom. I hope the individual on the ground was just resting. The climb up to this point was arduous! |

Gerard -- Thanks for your alternate cropping suggestion. I did pretty much choose to feature the people, but I like your version as well. |

Thanks for your encouragement, Barbara. I love that sepia, as you know. I really feel it is "kinder" to the details and I love lots of detail. |

Hi Peter- I appreciate your willingness to experiment and show us something out of the ordinary. However, I feel I want a little more information from the image to give me some clues about what I'm looking at. On first look I did not get the face at all until I saw the original. If the face read just a little better I would like this alot because I enjoy abstract images. The white area on the left doesn't bother me; it adds interest IMO. Television images can be very interesting and I hope you will continue to experiment with that. Thanks for showing us this!

Hi Linda -- There are so many things to like about this image! I'm glad the guy decided to wear a white shirt bacause it provides a nice background for the washboard. The action of his hands and arms (glad it's a short-sleeve shirt) is interesting. Then there is the hat, the sunglasses, the big smile, and the braces! It all adds up to a good story. The isolation of the bright figure against the dark background is nice. Congratulations on shooting this with available light. Nice job. |

Tom, this reflection works so well because of the interesting shapes of the branches. The lighter sky and water really contribute to the silouetting of the tree and reeds. I love the atmosphere of spookiness and foreboding. An apprpropiate Halloween image! |

Hi Gerard -- This is a lovely study of ancient architecture and it certainly benefits from the monochrome treatment. I enjoyed it very much. The poor plant looks "encarcerated" in a little cell. The fresh greenery makes a nice contrast with the old wood and metal. Wonderful! |

Hi Barbara! You have shown us some beautiful flower shots in the past but this one really stands out. The attitude of the petals almost seems exuberant even though it is an inanimate object. I wouldn't change a thing. Congratulations! |
