Hi Bruce -- I like the image of the man but I feel like the surrounding architecture distracts and diminishes the figure. The man is the most interesting element and I would choose to crop quite a bit of the building elements, especially the top. Having said that, congratulations on a really interesting image. |

Isaac -- I like the palm trees framing the main figure. I like that you apparently got right down on the ground with the main subject which works great since he's surrounded by his pavement artwork. I like all the small figures in the background. This is a really neat shot! |

Thanks for the interesting feedback, Gerard. Seeing it sharp was a bit of a shock! I like your observation about the violence suggested by the weaponry and the calm face of the officer. I remember the 60s-70s well and I guess I sort of prefer that "look". Sometimes I think stuff these days is too sharp, like HDTV. |

Hi Tom -- Easy Rider! I like Linda's crop because it features the subject more. There are lots of interesting things in the image and I would like a closer look at the details of the rider's face and equipment. |

Hi Denice -- Your dogwood image is lovely. The arrangement of the leaves and flower petals is especially effective. Very nice image of one of my favorite spring flowers. |

Linda -- This is just the sort of subject I love. Decaying buildings and gnarly trees! Looking at the original one can see how your editing choices really enhance the detail and create a Halloween-y atmosphere. The trees add a lot of interest as well. Flopping the image was a good choice, too. Wonderful! |

Hi Peter -- I agree with Gerard about cropping the left side and I would even shave a little off the right side. I love the regular line of posts sticking up. If the figure were not there it would be a very minimalist image, which would also work, I think. The figure certainly creates interest and it's a neat shot. I'd just like to see it cropped a little tighter. |

Well, Gerard, this is an interesting departure. I like abstract images that have to be "decoded". This is really more like a landscape. I agree with Barbara about the mouse but I like the plaid blanket. Unfortunately, since it is the object referenced in the title, the mouse is the least interesting element, IMO. |

I like this minimalist subject and the way you handled it really gives it a lot of interest. I think the reflection creates some narrative. I even turned it 180 and made the egg on the bottom and the reflection on top -- just for fun -- and it sort of works that way, too. Nice work, Barbara! |
