I agree withEd about cropping out the figure on the right. The image is interesting with the guy surfing contrasting with the two silhouettes. |

Hi Ed -- Thanks for your interesting feedback. I like your crop because it really focuses on the subject. The left side especially seems like it would be better cropped. I tend to choose to leave "environment" in for context -- maybe too much so sometimes. It's interesting that you like the original. |

Hi Isaac -- I like what you did with the driver's face. I wanted to open it up a little more but my technique did not produce as good a result. I chose to do this image in color mostly because of the pink handbag and the skin tones I think mono would have worked, too. |

Gerard -- This is a very intriguing image because it's not immediately clear whether the subject is plant life or some sea creature from the deep. The ed petals (?) give it narrative interest, and I like the mono version because it seems to give us a little more information about the intricate shapes of this strange flower. |

Peter - Such a gratifying human interest subject. I feel a stong sense of sadness when I look at this elderly dog peacefully held in the loving arms of his human. What a beautiful story, beautifully captured. |

Tom -- A great image showing the structure and its reflection. I have to admit the white foliage throws me a little. It does provide nice contrast with the bridge but it looks sort of like a cloud which is confusing - but in a fun way! |
