Paul the conversion is good and serves to remove the distractions of the colours and background in the original. The blue jacket behind her head and body now serve as a nice way to make her stand out. Good job. Since you have placed her in the centre of the composition, I agree with Fran, more space on the right would give her breathing room. |

Jerry your composition works and the geometrical shapes are strong and impactful. There is a lack of a clear focal point as a result of flat tones. I agree that perhaps darkening and bringing up the texture of the cart would help focus the eye.Currently the biggest focus is on the door vs the cart. Would love to see you try that edit. Maybe even darken the cart shadow on the door? |

Fran good job on the conversion it definitely works well. You have handled the tones well, and the butterfly is sharp with good contrast and values. Nicely done. |

David a good abstraction - I had to look twice to figure out what I was looking at, which is what you want people to do, come back to it figure it out. I agree, maybe a think white border around the edges would 'contain' the composition for the viewer. |

Fran thanks for the suggestion of using generative fill. I did not think of that! I guess the blur was an artistic choice and narrative I liked. I will definitely try the composition without it thanks for the suggestion. |

Thanks Vincent. As you say hard to avoid those out of focus bits when using a fairly shallow depth of field. |

Thanks David. I always always forget a small edge stroke. I appreciate your feedback. |
