I agree with all the above. It is a strong story telling image. Great photojournalism. I like the light behind the drainpipe as it accents the pipe making it stand out well as the focal point. I would like to see the area below the black bag darkened down a little. Notwithstanding it is a great image both lively and engaging. |

Tonal range, contrast and texture all very good. Plenty of fine detail evident. I am not wrapped in the composition as the branch heading north pulls me up out of the top of the frame. On a positive note I like the contrast split of dark and light along the diagonal. |

The woman's face appears to be lit from her phone screen so if the man's face was similarly lit (even if you did it postprocessing) I think that would work better and I say this as they are engaged in same activity so it seems at odds that one gets more attention than the other. Other than that good job cutting out all the clutter in the original colour image to present just the couple in a non distracting manner. I'm satisfied with contrast given its a night shot and the tonal range is quite wide with especially nice textures particularly in the woman's hair and clothing. |

I really like the dynamic contrast and the quality of the image. It has come up great in mono and strongly emphasizes the key elements. Composition works well with the lead in from the spirals. |

I like how you have lit the head to reveal texture & detail and separated it from darker background. The barred teeth and dark eye promote the menacing nature of the beast |
