The mono is simple where the flower dominates and the background becomes very passive. The colour version has great impact of colour and the texture comes through stronger but I find the background more chaotic. There are very noticeable distractions in the colour version bottom right and on the leaf just right of the flower but are eliminated by the mono conversion. I find the stems make a stronger leading line in the mono, so for me.....the mono. |

I agree with almost all the above (I'd make a slight crop) and love the way you have turned something simple into something much more from an artistic point of view. The texture is superb as is the tonal range. The radial lines lead to the solid ornate post making it a strong focal point. The crop I'd make is so that the railing bottom left ended on the edge of the frame as per my edited version. This is subjective and it is only my opinion. I would be keen to hear what others think of that. Notwithstanding it is an excellent image. |

I particularly like your control of perspective and the tonal range. The swirl of the floor tiling sweeps the viewer through the vestibule then beyond to the magnificent artworks. Lighting is such that much detail is easily discernible across the whole image. |

An image with many leading lines especially strong in the black floorboards which take you along the line of ropes which are another strong lead line and which are sharp and well detailed emphasizing their texture. The overall tonal range is excellent. My only suggestion for improvement is to rotate the crop slightly to eliminate the small white band top left and the dark mark a third of the way up on left edge. I think this provides stronger framing and a tidier composition as per my edited version. |
