Well thought out and well done. Manual focus was imperative and the stitching is seamless. The little lights lead me all around the neighbourhood in a systematic way and it doesnt matter if I start at the left or right- the effect is the same. I like that you have given it a white border and I am OK with the width as it gives it a fine art print feel. Have you showed the neighbours? I'd imagine a few would want a print. |

The dust has worked in your favour to shield the background distractions and place total emphasis on the lead rider who is nicely sharp and separated from everything else. The 1/6000 has frozen the dirt spray nicely but it still reeks of action. I like the context the second rider has in the story, how by being out of focus it really makes him/her feel secondary with some catching up to do. Panorama works well for this one. I'd remove that object in the grass far left, a) because it is a distraction and not needed, and b) it is very easy to do. |

I agree with all Stuart's comments. It is well positioned in the frame with plenty of room for the plane to move into and upward and the blurred props suggest that is exactly what it is going to do. Also good tonal range and contrast. Little halos around the tyres from over sharpening so I think that needs to be backed off a tad. It is not evident in other parts of the plane so easy enough to mask the tyres before sharpening so that everything gets sharpened except the tyres. |
