That is a great point Jerry makes. Never in a million years would I have thought to lighten the reflection to create a leading line. It is far better to share such ideas rather than to keep them to yourself as they benefit everyone and are the very essence to our belonging and participation in this group. Thanks jerry. |

I see the grid as a trellis for the foliage to climb with a torn gauze background but it is hard to say how much distance separates the two (not that it matters). The grid and the gauze are responsible for texture and patterns and I quite like the torn sections as they spark interest in an image that I was not fussed on at first but it is growing on me. It is unusual and unique subject matter and that always piques my interest. I would like to see more detail in the foliage and wonder whether some fill flash could be effective. |

A charming image with beautiful symmetry in the pond and building. I agree with Don about the clouds. I suggest an even more savage crop say one third down so all the blue sky was omitted and that to me puts more emphasis on the real subject. I like the nice long tonal range. |

I really like the dynamic contrast and the quality of the image. It has come up great in mono and strongly emphasizes the key elements. Composition works well with the lead in from the spirals. You say 'Probably a better color image'....it must be good as this one is impressive. |
