64 Aug 24 Comment I am impressed with the clarity and tonal range your iphone delivers. The image is sharp and well detailed and I am happy with the contrast. The wispy sky works well filling an otherwise empty space. Agree with others on the perspective thing as the leans of various spires in different directions are at odds. Maybe not a masterpiece but it definately is a good solid momento of your travels which I assume is why you shot it in the first place. Aug 13th
64 Aug 24 Comment I find this a lively image and I think that is because of the contrast on the choppy water and the little sabot battling into the wind. I really like the line of the promenade converging with the bridge rail and waterline leading back to the bottom left corner opening up a nice chunk of space for the sabot to punch into. Plenty of interest in the tones and textures on bridge and buildings. While I like it as is I just wonder how it would look if the sabot had just cleared the protruding section of bridge (just above the mast). Aug 13th
64 Aug 24 Comment Has great impact being so nicely separated from the background with wonderful texture and brilliantly magnetic eyes that grab my attention straight away. Sharp where it counts and square format suits. I did not notice car reflections until alerted to it and don't think that diminishes the impact. The tonal range and density are spot on. Aug 13th
64 Aug 24 Comment I dont think sharpness is an issue at all and the image certainly does not lack interest. The yawn and the stride ensure all the attention is on the two men. I love the security guards rigid and purposeful body language accentuating his full attention on the task at hand contrasting with the lackadaisical and relaxed manner of the seated man. The shadow and reflections on the floor add further interest. I agree with Stuart about more contrast and slightly lightened highlights and I too would have loved to see the whole of the dogs face. 64 Aug 24 Comment So simple and it works well as a mono. The exhaust streams make a strong leading line to the subject which is well placed compositionally and which stands out boldly against the unobtrusive background. Just a little bit sharper on the jet is all I can suggest. Was it handheld? Aug 13th
64 Aug 24 Comment Nice mono consisting of a full range of tones with just enough detail in the trees. The fog works well to create mood and mask out any distractions. I would be inclined to crop a bit off the right just near the branch laying at 45 degrees as that area mid and top right pulls my eyes that way and has me searching for something. I think if cropped it simplifies the image and places greater impact on the swans. Aug 13th
