So much detail here, Jim. A gorgeous shot. I agree there could have been some cropping on the right, make the bud in the center, but either way its lovely.

Yes, Doris, welcome. I like this shot very much. Like the color variations between the bright colors in the Myrtle and the subdued rocks. I disagree with Charissa about the sprig to the left, as the tiny new-growth bud and the vine along side it contain a lot of interesting detail. |

Doris and Charissa. Thank you for your comments. You are both very correct. I do agree the overhead light a bit of a nuisance, but without it I don't think the minute hairs at the 'nose' would be visible. |

Bob, I don't think one can take a bad shot of the Aran Islands. It is such a beautiful place. I think the crop and blur fit the mood of the place. The only thing that might have improved the shot would be an isolated cow or collie. |
