Thank you, good thought. I am not a black and white fan but I will try this. |

Another vibrant shot. Such good detail in those feathers. I like this, simple but strong. |

I like what you've done Jim. The "improved" one is extremely incandescent, so vibrant. Like something created by Tiffany's. |

I think the colored version is magnificent. So many layers of colors, both muted and vibrant. I have never been a big fan of black and white shots, but yours is done very well. Just prefer the colored version. |

Gloria, it's a fantastic shot. I love how the sun just touches those upper branches. I, personally, am not a great fan of the tropics. Everything is too closed in for me when I am in the tropics. My preference is wide open spaces. But that said, when I lived in California, I had two gorgeous Palm trees on my property. Unfortunately, they had been planted too close to the sidewalk and the roots were pushing the sidewalk up. It killed me to have to take them down. I couldn't watch when they were. |

I think it's a beautiful shot. As I was choosing my submission, I did think no one has submitted a cityscape, so good for you on that. I don't think it boring or quiet, but maybe if a vehicle had been visible by streaming head or tail lights it might have appealed to you more. |

This is very moody, Dan. Maybe even slightly spooky. I like the upward angle of this shot; the bare tree limbs above against the foreboding sky are what gives it the spooky, kinda evil, look to me. I like the shot, but wouldn't want to hang around there too long. A+ for the moodiness. |

Dan and Bob, thank you. I have been trying to improve this shot via Lightroom for a few years. I have tried more and less contast, everything. This was taken on an overcast morning and is just a gray shot. Gray sky (not seen), gray water, monotone birds. Probably nothing to be done with it, but regardless, I find it appealing.
Not sure why the tails are confusing. |
