Thanks Mary, I will look again at my processing on her arm and I agree that I need to darken down the strap. |

Rita, I think the processed image with more detail works better than the original. I would crop the image as suggested by Denise and I would look at lightening the overall image and adding more contrast. In answer to your question on how it might do in a PSA competition, I think the image might do well in a themed competition on patterns or textures but I do not think it is strong enough for an Open Mono competition. |

An interesting experiment Connie and thank you for sharing. Perhaps you might suggest to your club that they use a simple plain cardboard backdrop when they next set up a table top still life. |

Georgianne, you have captured a very pretty botanical scene here and there is lots to explore in the image. I think if you want the irises to be the centre of attention then perhaps a bit more post processing is needed to separate them from the background, perhaps something along the lines of Denise's edit. |

Mary, I like the warm tones in the image and the fact that you have used the building to create a focal point. For me there is probably not enough variation in shapes to create an interesting ICM image. Perhaps experiment with sweeping movements rather than just straight sideways movement to create more interest. |

Jan, a clever use of the original image as your starting point and I like the end result. I love the use of the contrasting colours of orange and blue in the image and the motion blur creates a restful image. I might be tempted to reduce the size of the foreground tree a little and I think I would play about with the position of the boat. |

Denise, this is a beautiful flower, very well captured and I really like the processing that you have done. You might want to try a slightly tighter crop and perhaps brighten the flower head a little. |
