Thanks Denise, I agree I lightened the doorway too much and have now darkened this down. |

A great image Denise, well seen. Your edits certainly improved the image and made the background less distracting. I agree with the other comments and think that Linda's edit works really well. |

Well done on focus stacking a subject that was moving in the wind. I love the shape of the iris and the diagonal composition gives the image a more dynamic feel. The lighting was very harsh and is giving some really deep shadows especially on the front petal. For me the greens are a bit too vibrant and I would tone them down a bit. |

I think you have captured a natural looking portrait of Yo. Cropping in to remove a lot of the background has improved the image. Like the others I think the skin tones are too warm and need toning down. Personally I wouldn't try and smooth the skin too much, the wrinkles are part of her. I agree that it is not the most flattering of facial expressions but perhaps that reflects the discomfort she may have been feeling. |

A very well composed still life image. I really like the shaping in the drapes. Like the others I prefer the colours in the original image and would just lift the shadows on the bowl.
Perhaps to achieve a painterly Dutch Masters feel you could try softening the background a little. In the attached I have added a bit of Gaussian blur and a couple of textures. |
