It is good that you share your style of floral photography with the group. It is always nice to see something a bit different. I find the background in this image a bit too busy with lots of bright highlights. For me this results in the flower and butterfly being a bit lost against the background. |

I don't really have much more to add to what the others have said. The good thing is that as you have these flowers in your home you can try again. Do you have a touch screen on your camera? If you do then you should be able to select where the camera is focusing when on autofocus. I agree with the others though that it is best to use manual focus whenever possible. |

A beautiful capture Lynne. My only suggestion for improvement would be to darken down the bottom right corner a touch, there is a small bright yellow patch on a petal. That is being very picky though, it is great as is. |

Well done on your first focus stacking attempt. I like the textures in the leaves on this image. Unfortunately there appears to be a couple of areas of blown highlights on the flower where there is no detail. I don't know if this can be recovered from the RAW files. I wondered if a different orientation and perhaps a mono conversion might work. |

I appreciate that you have tried to capture the cycle of nature but I find the overall image very dark and think that the two flowers could be lightened. The background is very busy and I find the partial flower heads top left quite distracting. As you are blending images together could you flip the bottom flower so that it faces into the image? |

A lovely image. I like the contrast between the path and the flowers. I do think that it is a little dark and also wonder if a slightly different crop might work better, as shown. I have lightened the flowers using a curves layer. |

You have created a lovely dreamy image and the cool tones work well with the frosty scene. I tried flipping the image and for me I think it works better as the line of grasses lead you to the tree and then the trees on the right act as a stop and hold you in the image. |

I too like the subject matter and your treatment has certainly given it an aged feel. I agree with Linda that the wagon needs lightening to make it stand out from the background a bit more.
My preference would be to reduce the saturation of the toning, I find it a little over-powering. |

This is a really impactful image and very well put together. The only thing I am not so keen on is the tree, which gives me the impression it is growing out of the building rather than being behind it. Perhaps if you reduce the opacity of the tree this may give a sense of distance between the building and tree. Other than that it is great! |

I really like the shapes and textures in this image and its suits a mono conversion. I echo the suggestions made by Denise, |
