Thanks for the comments. The image is full frame, and there was some bush below that was distracting. Sometimes I will do some bushwhacking if needed, but it was a public trail with a couple of dozen other flowers in a big field. I didn't want to disturb. |

Very nice seeing. Good that you are able to utilize masks and separate various components, as it really helps separate the overall grays in the image. The image has a very overall moody feel to it, and for some reason I am really attracted to the structure of the trees with all the balls on it. In looking at the buildings, I wonder if they would benefit with even more contrast, and bring out a little more of the rusty color, as the vertical lines in it are a nice contrast to the patterns in the trees. |

What a great opportunity, and hat's off to the gal who can do this kind of dress making!
Your depth of field is well managed, as her and the dress are nicely sharp and the background is not distracting at all. Great job on the processing, as it becomes a timeless piece. |

Thanks, Ruth! I did work a little bit on the crop from the original, and my thought was I liked the darker arc of the rock above the flowers, plus I wanted to leave enough room for them to grow. I do like your suggestion though to reduce some of the bright impact of the rock on top. Rather than cropping, I used burning to bring down the brightness values and enhance the darker rock portion. |

I think the crop works well. It is amazing how well smartphone cameras can handle the dynamic range in a scene like this. |

The old branches with the new growth is a great juxtaposition of the past and present. |

You captured the blue beautifully! The ark of the wake really leads one back to the boat along the horizon. The variations of blue color in the wake is fun to explore. Good job on getting your horizon straight! |
