Darcy, lost my first review. Hope I can duplicate it! I like your blur of the vegetation behind the insect. The vibrant colors work well together. The leaf beneath the insect is nicely focused. The only thing I could suggest would be to clone out the yellowish spots on the leaf below it.I agree the focus of the insect is a little soft, but it is sometimes hard to get good focus before it flies away and you lose it all. Nice job. |

Yvonne, What a lovely image! I really like the colors. I think you did well in highlighting the flower by blurring the leaves etc. behind it. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't intend to disagree but only offer another opinion. It would be interesting to raise the height of the camera if there were stamen in the center. I like the focus and the vivid color of the flower. For me it looks as if this were taken in the garden. Thanks for an enjoyable image. |

I enjoy your pictures of the rodeo as mentioned last month. I can see some problems, for me, in this image however. The angle or position of the bull makes his appearance off. The body looks too long. The blurring of the cowboys viewing the ride did not work for me. As I said last month I think they were part of the story. It ishard to blur people out of a scene. For myself I would think the image would be more telling if the cowboy pulling the shoot gate open and the one to the left were not cropped out. They are two action figures. Sorry for so long a critique but looking at your photo last month was really spot on! |

What a lovely fall image! I really like the fall colors. The fence leads my eye to the back of the image. Not sure if that was what you were trying for or not. Discussing the fence I enjoy the old timbers in it. You really have a lot to work with in this image. The only thing that I see, as I said, is placement of the fence that might make a difference. This is really a nice fall scene. Being in SE Washington I miss the vegetation and fall colors. Thanks. |

This is a great shot. The image is sharp and well balanced. The clouds really add emphasis and interest to the image. The lower peaks leaded my eye into the image to the higher elevations. Sorry you feel we would not feel we have interest in the exposure information, it might help us to compose a shot in a similar situation. |

Thanks, This image reminds me of my time in SE Asia. The market places were always a gathering places for peoples selling their wares. I'm not sure from your description what was actually taking place. With the boats (?) pointing in toward the gathering really draws the eye there. Also there is a lot of things happening. The focus is great, colors are sharp. For me thisis a great cultural image of what is taking place. Nice job. (Who was fly the helicopter when you were taking pictures?) |
