Denise, you are well ahead of me on this. Again I have not done any "focus stacking". That said I really like the way the candies (?) and ingredients are positioned at the lower part of your image. I enjoy the way the flow goes from a light blur to crystal clear at the 1/3 part of the image. I wonder what the image would look like if some of the blurred images at the top were cropped off. I am thinking that might bring more attention to the flow. Macro photographs don't need to be "sharp" front to back. There is a focal point that needs to be tack sharp and the rest of the image should help that point. For some reason the idea that the entire image should be focused has crept into our site. |

If the wheel and tire are the main subject it could be emphasized by blurring out the back ground. If the struts are the subject you could have moved in tight and shown just those. With all of this it is hard to see the macro type image you were looking for. That aside the image is nice and sharp and clear. |

Bob, Your image of the Nash brought back a memory or two. Nice shot. If you were lower you could have eliminated the shadow at the bottom of the shield. (It really was not very distracting, just a suggestion.) I've not used extension tubes but need to dig them out and do some shooting with them. Nice sharp image. |

Well Bill, an interesting submission. Its interesting the "V" shapes on the leaves seem to pull my attention away from the subject matter. I wish the little yellow stamen had been in clearer focus. It may be that would have pulled attention away from the leaves and the arrow like images. It is nice to see something different though. |

Nice vibrant colors. The subject is nicely framed. I think the way you presented your image is probably the best. The green handle leads your eye into the image. The colors are not only vibrant They add interest to your image. Now if I could only figure out what the author was trying to say on the lower part of the image I would be so happy?? |
