20 Aug 24 Reply Thank you, Deborah! Aug 10th
20 Aug 24 Comment I love how you have made it painterly. The only suggestion I would have is to give him more room by expanding the canvas...a bit more on the right and more on the left. giving him room to prowl. Aug 7th
20 Aug 24 Comment That is a fascinating creation from the smoke. Very imaginative. Aug 7th
20 Aug 24 Comment Now this would make a great whimsical Christmas Card. I agree with Angela, to tone the "ball" down a bit and maybe move it closer to the snowmen. Aug 7th
20 Aug 24 Comment I love the movement of the Dogwood and the colors. When I 1st looked at the picture, I found the purple in the sky distracting from the movement and color of the dogwoods. I had to try...so all I did was cropped down and in. Now my focus is not distracted. What do you think? Aug 7th
20 Aug 24 Comment Thank you, Peter. This did go through many reiterations. Also, putting it away for several years while I learned new skills helped.

20 Aug 24 Reply Thank you, Angela. Just removing the background didn't do it. Aug 7th

39 Aug 24 Comment Hi Diane, welcome to our Group. I think that this works as a B&W conversion well. Your tones, textures, and contrast are well done. It might seem nit picky, but the strands of spider web are distracting to me. They don't add to the beautiful swirls and structure of the plant. You might try removing them. Did you try this on a plain black background? I think the contrast would be quite dramatic. Aug 17th
39 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Dave. I see what you say and will bring the highlights down on the forehead. Interestingly, I always have my warnings on in Camera Raw and the Highlights are not blown, but I appreciate your thoughts. Aug 17th
39 Aug 24 Reply Yes! Aug 16th
39 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Dave. I have a version where I brought down the Highlights and darkened the background. What do you think? Aug 16th
39 Aug 24 Reply I love the challenge and thrill of photographing wildlife. I see what you are saying about the highlights. I will try to lower them although I was attracted to the rim light in the color. Thanks for your comments. Aug 13th
39 Aug 24 Reply Thanks. Vincent. I will play with the highlights. Aug 13th
39 Aug 24 Reply Never heard of a Zine, but that is a good goal. The collection so far is thought provoking and well done. Keep em coming. Aug 11th
39 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Jerry. I appreciate your remarks. Aug 10th
39 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Paul. I think he would have liked a fish in his mouth too:). (me too, but I refrain from AI). Aug 10th
39 Aug 24 Comment A really interesting detail shot. I would like to see a little more on the top curve and the tailpipe on the bottom. In the B&W, I focus more on shapes and textures. In the color version my eye goes right to the blue. Aug 10th
39 Aug 24 Comment Congratulations on your 1st submission. Joey looks like quite the guy. Great to have the opportunity to photograph him.I like how you have brought out the tones and textures in his head. My only suggestion would be for more contrast between him and the background. Can you lighten the background shadows a bit and bring down the texture? Aug 10th
39 Aug 24 Comment Vincent, your dance photos are lovely. I like the movement and expression. Perfect in B&W.

39 Aug 24 Comment Are you doing a portfolio or book about your walkabouts? This shot in the window is intriguing. If we didn't have your intro, we could make up so many different stories. I prefer the B&W. I see what Jerry is saying about the seat. Perhaps you can reduce the texture and darken a bit. But great shot.

39 Aug 24 Comment So...I didn't have to convert a camera to IR? Nicely done. The tones and the composition invite you into your Daughter's Backyard. It is a very appealing scene. Aug 10th
