I have to agree on the elimination of the background Cliff. I would also crop the image down and try and accentuate the contrast between the light and the dark to bring the tree limbs out. |

I have to admit that it took me a while to read through this image. The real stark blackness of the image rather than variations in shades of gray made it pretty difficult to get it. I think I would have much preferred the black and white image with a bit more structured tonality so that the lantern would have popped out as a central figure. |

What an excellent image. You have captured the expression perfectly in the posture and clarity of the composition is really excellent.Even with the elevated ISO your level of noise is very low. Must've been a great deal of work to eliminate that background log |

Very sharp and distinct image. The little hairs on the stem reveal a great deal of detail. I agree that there is a bit too much negative space on the right and I would crop much of that out even though it would leave a very thin image. |

Great depth of field on this one. It's a shame that that hedge and world trees had to be in the background instead of something more plain.Still your capture was very good. Only recommendation would be to adjust your levels to brighten the overall image and perhaps a little more saturation on the blossoms. |
