22 Jul 21 Reply I would agree with you that the image may be static. However, the framing is nicely done and my eyes immediately zoom into the colorful interior and begin studying the subject. I do not have any tendency to wander around the periphery of the image and the framing keeps my eyes where they should be - - on the subject. Jul 14th
22 Jul 21 Comment I thought this was a very interesting image but I wondered if the foreground could be enhanced a bit so I took the image into studio and applied an HDR filter to consolidate the storm features. Then I went into precision detail to try and highlight the rainbow and the clouds a little more. Finally I played around with saturation, temperature, and tint. I cropped out some of the extraneous side information when came up with this. Jul 10th
22 Jul 21 Comment Very colorful and storytelling. I agree with the brightening of the man, and would add perhaps just a touch more saturation to pop the colors a bit more. Great shot. Jul 10th
22 Jul 21 Reply Yes, the problem of the frozen propellers did concern me, however, I really wanted to capture the details of the airplane in motion so I made that sacrifice. Thanks for the suggestion on action blur. I will play with that. I know I could have eliminated the heads of the crowd and better positioned the airplane, however, as I saw the position I wanted to make it appear that the airplane was climbing out of takeoff on a mission. In the back of my mind I imagined the foggy, cloudy atmosphere of British landing strips used during World War II and thought this background more fairly depicted that environment. Jul 10th
22 Jul 21 Comment I think you did a great job on the shot. Your treatment of the background was exceptional in the clarity and sharpness of the blackbird is very well done. The contrast is excellent as well as the sharpness overall. Nicely done. Jul 10th
22 Jul 21 Comment I agree that the framing is really well done here. The color contrast between the wall and the actual subject behind it is perfect. While I understand why you would want to include the plants and pots on the left side, I find it really distracting. Overall the image is very pleasing, however when I first look at it my eyes tend to want to analyze those pots before I look at the subject itself. I would have cropped this squarely and eliminated those distractions. Jul 10th
22 Jul 21 Comment This is a fun image and tells a great story about heat waves. It would make a great newspaper headline image. Excellent job at cropping to ensure the subject matter was plain and clearly understandable. Jul 10th
