22 May 20 Comment Thanks. I took your image into Photoshop and using NIK software by applied some HDR techniques to brighten the trunks and the overall image. I then took it into studio for cleanup and sharpening. I also cropped out some of the distracting and messy ripples in the lower right-hand corner and came up with this. The sharpening may be just a little too much but I think you get the idea. I think this reflection gives a more lively perspective to the swamp seen. Don't know if you agree. May 10th
22 May 20 Comment This looks like a scene from Avatar. The beautiful flow of the water plus the brilliance of the stars is really amazing. Now if there was a full moon everything would be there. It's a beautiful image but I also think a beautiful image of the falls would be very worthwhile by cropping down the sky almost completely focusing on the waterfall. You actually have more than two images here - - the skyscape makes one want to wander all over the page while the waterfall is central enough to deserve its own presentation. The fantastic image. It would be difficult to decide which portion to emphasize as the subject. May 10th
22 May 20 Comment I have to agree that the surf does not look as dramatic as it must have felt in real life. The colors to blend to closely. Highlighting and bringing out the foreground colors and textures may have improved the image. However the risk is that the foreground then would become the subject. This is a tough shot to post process. May 10th
22 May 20 Comment Yes, the image is certainly surrealistic but I believe that was the intent. It certainly is not a true reflection of how that harbor would ever look against at skyline. But I find it very interesting because it captivates my eye with the waves bringing me right into the cityscape. It certainly demonstrates the flexibility that Photoshop has given us. May 10th
22 May 20 Comment Certainly very creative. Just looking at the image makes you want to try and figure out how it was taken with the BB very clean and the stream below it. An interesting choice of color for the liquid. Nicely done. May 10th
22 May 20 Comment Except for the splash on the left, this looks like an ice carving. A very creative image. Playing with the background color is would certainly give different outcomes and I would like to see it in black also. The rim of the glass serves as a necklace around the birds neck and sets it off perfectly. It may be worth trying to remove the large droplets in the lower left and see how the bird stands out more. Great color and sharpness. May 10th
22 May 20 Comment I, too, love a good reflection and am almost sorry that you put the ripple effect in. The overall cast of the image is quite dark. I think I might have brightened the tree trunks above the water a little bit to make them stand out and make the reflection as pure as possible. I don't have any problem with the brightness of the leaves, however, I think the image would be enhanced if both the trunks and the leaves were similar in brightness. Very nice composition for sure. 22 May 20 Reply Thanks. The texture does add a different perspective and moving lower and to the left might help. However, this was a really tight area and I did not want to complicate the background. I also wanted to keep the foliage surround. May 3rd
