I like this image and the water that completely surrounds the boat and person. I am distracted by the pipe jutting out of the water because I think it distracts from the subject matter. I agree that some of the cropping on the top of the image might help. I don't believe it adds anything to the overall impact that you have created. Nice job on this one. See what you think of my alterations. |

Great shot Terry, and I forgot to say welcome last time. I like the way you have composed this image and the contrasts are very good. My only suggestion would be to crop the image just below the sunlight in the top edge of the frame. I think that would help to keep one's attention on the tree itself. |

I really like the mood of this image - - the bluish hues make it a very relaxing image to look at. I am a little bit taken aback by the paddle and boat on the left-hand side. I tend to want to drift in that direction and I know that is not the subject of the image. I think that isolating the fisherman with his boat might help. See what you think. |

A very nice image. Very tranquil. And I like the coloration you achieved by shooting in the twilight which gave you a very nice reflection in the water. My only suggestions on this one would be that you crop it just below the reflection and eliminate the bottom portion of the water which I don't think adds anything to your image. I think that I might have also eliminated the marker in the water and the stray reflections from lights other than the bridge. They tend to draw my eye away from the serenity of the overall image and make it a little bit less appealing. |

Thank you. I agree. This was a fun time. We did a month in Canada which included the Calgary Stampede. Then we spent a week in the Canamore area before moving on to British Columbia. We stayed near Invermere and our timing could not have been better. Invermere annually hosts a bull riding competition every July and we were fortunate enough to be able to attend. It was a one-time shot for me and I really enjoyed it. |

I thank you for your suggestion to convert the image to black and white. That does take care of the shirt colors. I applied a blur to the background to try and mute some of that harsh coloring. While it did help, it did not mask those colors. In the end, though, I still prefer the color version. I think the sunlight in the afternoon really brings out the excitement of the time and the details of the bull. |
