2 Jan 18 Comment A really great image and very strong in the impact category. The rope is extremely distracting and pulls my eye away from the child almost immediately. I would have eliminated that and worked the shadows a little bit around the face to bring it a little more clearly into focus. My only last suggestion would have been to crop some of the wall on the left side out, leaving some for accent color but reducing its domination. Jan 20th
2 Jan 18 Comment Certainly a very interesting image with the single leaf and varying contrasting levels of glass. I think I would've crop this quite a bit leaving the leaf in the upper left-hand third of the image. Increasingly contrast might have brought the leaf out more strongly. Jan 20th
2 Jan 18 Comment The image is very busy and the angle of the shot does include too much information in the background. The frontal shot is much more telling. It almost looks like the writers are mocking an old man who is working extensively hard to transport them. There is a story here but the background distracts the viewer from seeing it. Jan 20th
2 Jan 18 Comment I love the image and I love the Great Lakes area. We visited Traverse City a couple of years ago and really had a good time there. Your image is really well done and I like the various shades of color that are represented here. As I look at the image, however, I almost wish that it were divided in two and that you had positioned yourself to the right a little. To me, the old graying buildings on the left with the fishing boats in front would have made a great single picture. The other half of the image on the right would have made an equally interesting image if cropped. Jan 20th
2 Jan 18 Comment It is a great image and makes one want to smile with her. Very good positioning of the image and composition. Great choice in doing a black and white because the shades of gray are balanced very nicely. Good shot. Jan 20th
2 Jan 18 Comment Great job on the image. I think your background work really helped set the elephant off. Very good muting of the background. I also would have crop the image close to the elephants here, but not to exclude any of it. Very sharp image and I really like the catch light in the eye. Jan 20th
