I love Lake Louise but have not been there for many years. Of course, the bright orange rooftop and canoes are the subject of this image and if it had been cropped significantly tighter would have focused in on them more directly. I think a image of Lake Louise would have been more fulfilling if the camera had been turned to the right and actually focused on the lake for a large portion of it with the mountain background. |

I do enjoy images of old homesteads, particularly decaying ones like this. The highlighted sun on the window and its reflection brings the eye quickly to that point and almost prohibits it from moving to any other area of the image. That's okay, but the post on the right and the water cup become a bit distracting. I think I might have at least eliminated the water cup. Or, I may have cropped it from the right up to and including the post so that the image actually became the left side of the building and the window and reflection. |

I love this picture because I enjoy taking photographs of farms and barns, especially old and dilapidated ones. I also love clouds and like to accentuate their details. However, if more detail were added to the cloud it would take away from the beauty of the barn. I would recommend toning down the foreground just a little because it has a tendency to capture the eye when we need to move up into the barn and clouds. Very nice composition. |

Now how many people have ever done a macro of a gecko's foot? You have put a lot of time and effort into this image and it's extremely impressive. The detail in the foot and the subliminal background contribute to a very interesting image. The detail of the foot is so exquisite that the only comment I could offer would be to crop up on the bottom to eliminate the hotspot and focus the eye exclusively on that foot, where he goes to anyway. Nice job.I'm only happy that I was not caught on your porch. |

As above, this is a near-perfect line portrait. It looks like a high school graduation photo. I am really impressed with the way you remove the background using a clone stamp. I still haven't quite figured that one out. But your texture and lighting is perfect and your black-and-white exposure is right on the mark. An exceptional job right down to the catch light in the eyes. |
