5 Sep 24 Comment Keisha, I like your thought on composition/capture and your decision to go monochrome. I think this works. Should the title reflect more the inspiration you saw rather than the protection?
BTW, love your website. Lots of creativity.

5 Sep 24 Comment I think Richard's comments are instructive. I also wonder if a slower shutter speed would have shown crowd movement which would further highlight the size and power of the trains. Sep 2nd
5 Sep 24 Comment I like the edit which brings out the intensity of the contest. Not sure the faster shutter speed would make a lot of difference. Enjoy the new toy Sep 2nd
5 Sep 24 Comment Love this image as it evokes a mood and sense of a clearing storm. A thought would be to crop more of the dark sky at the top to make more of a pano. It could draw the eye more to the hills Sep 2nd
5 Sep 24 Comment I agree about the left crop. IS there anyway to make the bee stand out more? Just a touch to separate the star of the show. Good luck with the entry Sep 2nd
5 Sep 24 Comment The retouch makes this a much stronger image. Nice capture of a lovely little girl Sep 2nd
5 Sep 24 Reply Thanks for the welcome. Good suggestion and have reworked it.
Not sure where you are in MD. 4.5 hrs could be suburban Baltimore or Hancock. Maybe we can catch up some time.

5 Sep 24 Reply Thanks for the welcome and kind remarks. Equipment D750, 60mm Macro lens. Used a LED light which could control color and brightness (manufactured by Pro Master). Probably took 65 or so images. Tired some speedlight and some regular flash light. Sep 2nd

19 Sep 24 Comment I think the B/W treatment helps tell the story. Nicely done. Sep 11th
19 Sep 24 Comment Can't make any suggestions. Can only express how envious I am. Great image. I guess you could say on that day you woke up on the right side of the bed. Sep 11th
19 Sep 24 Comment Love the colors and bokeh.
Did you turn the image to make it horizontal? What if the butterfly was on top? Did you crop? If butterfly on top and wider area around it, would that work?
It sounds like you were surprised seeing it and had to work quickly. This suggestion may not be in the cards.

19 Sep 24 Comment I like the image. I wonder if the Blur feature in Lightroom would cut down more on the water and highlight the waterfowl. That is the main event. Sep 11th
19 Sep 24 Comment This is striking and beautiful. well conceived and executed. Sep 11th
19 Sep 24 Comment The soft light echoes the waning days of the summer harvest. Nice mood captured here. Sep 11th
