Hi Fran: This was a lucky shot caught by a professional. One more day and you would have missed this adorable picture. Their eyes are bright and sharp, and I love the stop-action of their little feet. The only suggestion I have is to clone out the lighter spot just above mama's very back tail feather with the duckling under it. It's just a little distracting. Good job. |

Hi Connie: Thank you for sharing this delightful image. The only thing I would do to improve it would be to clone the light green over the bright and gritty green spots on the left window trim. I find it a little distracting, but overall, this is a great shot. I'm sure the parents were pleased. |

Hi Carole: It's so cool how the ruler just melts into the background and the hat has stripes that weren't there before. I like what you have done to bring this into the abstract. In addition, you learned something new on your phone. Thank you for the work you do with the charities. We need more people to do the same. The original hat is darling. |

Hi Howard: I put a cardboard over the lights, and it becomes a different picture. I like it; thank you for the suggestion. |

Hi Bob: As I told Helen, straight out of the camera all I could see was black, the rails, and the lights. I really liked it that way, but thought it was too abstract for this group, so I lightened it. Don't you think it might be too narrow if I crop out the left structure. I already cropped it down a lot. Thanks for your feedback. |

Now that you mention it, I don't think it's a train. It's not sitting on the tracks! Ha Ha. Originally, the image was very black, and I loved it. All you could see were the bright wavy tracks and the three lights. It was very abstract and cool. I wasn't sure it was a good picture for critique. Loved your story about the Playboy magazine. I don't know a term for that either. |

Hi Helen: What a wonderful opportunity to visit Iceland. The sky you added gives the perfect mood to this old building. All the changes you made lead to this wonderful image from a mysterious land. There are great leading lines with the building slant and curved road. I wouldn't change a thing. I love it. |

Howard: What can I say? Your images are always clean, sharp, nicely centered, and interesting. This is another well-thought-out image. Beautiful fall colors and waterfall. Thank you for sharing. |

Hi Bob: You received some great advice from the by-stander. It looks like you are straddling one of the large roller coaster beams. Everyone is sharp and recognizable - did you get model releases? HaHa. All of the coaster is sharp too. Great shot - Love it. |

Hi Peter: In your image I can visualize a Christmas or parental theme with the small tree being the center of attention. However, the tree on the right has some burned out branches and the lightness of the tree finds my focus. I tried to lighten the tree and all my efforts turned the colors redder and greener, but I find this acceptable. I used the clone tool over most of the burnt-out limbs. Then I used combinations of Color Balance, Color Select, and the burn tool to darken the right tree. I cut back some of the branches on both sides to highlight the small tree, which I also lightened and gave more vibrance. My correction is not perfect, but is it a little closer to what you were trying to do? |

Hi Peter: We went to Vermont last year. The color was amazing, but my images weren't. The color you captured on land and in the reflection is fabulous. Thinking that your subject is the dock house, I tried to crop off some at the right side. It didn't work. There is no doubt that your subject is the color. Beautiful job. |
