Not blown out at all. But now I see what looks like a strap from the hat right behind his ear. I didn't see it before because it was in the blown out area. I know I'm being picky and that normally wouldn't bother me, but you do want to enter this in competition. |

Thanks Rita! Now that I've had back surgery I can bend down, but this was during a photo club outing where we had special permission to be on the property. I wish I could go back! |

Thanks Diana! When you're in your 80s, there are a lot of reasons and circumstances in your way. I've had back surgery and I'm bending more. That property had such amazing trees. I was showing my photo buddy, who could bend, more interesting shots that I couldn't take. That's life! |

Thanks Dean! The trees on that property were just beautiful. I wish I could have bent down to get different angles. My back is getting fixed today! |

That's why I thought any more editing might ruin the image. Again great capture! |

Rita, what a great environmental portrait. I love the colors and the hippie look right down to the nose ring. The only suggestion I have, and I don't know if you can do anything about it, would be to fix the blown out area on his hair on the right. I have a feeling that to try to fix it might ruin it. Otherwise, I love it. It's so expressive and animated. |

Wow, Karen, what a great picture. Does your CoolPix have a special filter that creates the wavey look? I didn't think heat could create that much of a wavy look. If it did, it's amazing, and yes it looks painterly. |

This is a great action shot. Having been to one rodeo, I know how difficult it is to photograph. I think you did a great job of lightening up the original. I like that you captured the scene showing us what was going on, or as Dean says, "The supporting cast!" You've given us the feeling of what a rodeo is truly like. My only suggestion would be to find an image that clearly shows both legs. I finally figured out the position of the rider's legs. |

Great picture and great stop Dean! This truck is a photographer's dream--if you like old stuff, and I do! I like your crop and the hole in the fender. All the colors add to the charm. Imagine what that truck could tell us if it could. Well it is with all the layered paint and rust. And you helped tell its story. |
