Thanks Rita. I think I was in a hurry not to lose the sunset and forgot to think about ISO. Happy that you pointed that out. |

Hi Michelle
I shoot in manual and typically have my shutter set a 1/125. So I guess I choose the shutter speed first and then the aperture. But that's only because I forget to change the shutter speed! If I was thinking, I probably would have shot that picture at 300 or 400 ISO as the light was getting dimmer. That would have changed my settings. When I use my Tamron lens 18-300 mm, I'm careful and try to keep my ISO low because I get a lot of noise the higher my ISO goes. I think I've been incredibly lucky since I don't pay attention to my settings. I just manage to get the exposure right. Just remember the exposure triangle is just that. Any change in one setting means a change in the other two. I hope I didn't confuse you further. |

Thank you Robert! I thought that losing the color the trees needed prominence. |

Hi Tim
I really like your suggested crop. I'll check for those dust spots. I didn't see them. I do appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks

Hi Rita
You took advantage of a great opportunity. I agree that it would have been nice if you had a better background that framed the window. It would have put the window in context. I also agree with Dean's crop suggestion. This is regarding the pose the other photographer put the soon=to-be mom in, I don't like the way he posed the hand below the top one. If he put that hand closer to the top hand, having her had mid stomach, her large stomach wouldn't be so emphasized and her dress would flow better. Given what you had to work with, it's a great image. |

Hi Michelle
I like old vehicles and farm equipment also. I think including the "farm junk" was a good idea to give a sense of what was happening with the old truck. Maybe a little cropping on the right would help focus more on the truck. I'd stop just after the window on the building. You don't want to take away too much context. On my monitor, the front of the truck looks slightly out of focus. Other than that, love the image. |

Wow! Tim you did an amazing amount of post processing, most of which I've never used, and it was worth it! This is a great image of Tosh. What a beautiful dog. I'm hoping you're printing and framing this picture. |

Thanks Dean! I'm glad you believe I made the right choice. Will the others be able to see the color version so I can get their thoughts also. I'll go back and see if I cropped the original. If I did, I have the RAW image and I'll see what I can do about the trees. Thanks again. |
