Thanks Blair. I'll try to get to incorporate the suggested changes this weekend. It should be interesting to see the difference. |

Thanks Rita. I think I need to re-process this and not use NIK at all. I'll see what that does with the halos and clouds. I think the color efex gave the halos, etc.
Thanks everyone. This helps. |

Hi Michelle
There are 3 red stop signs. I might try toning down all of them. Thanks for the suggestion. |

This is beautiful Rita. I can't tell from my monitor if the background is soft. I tried to make the image larger but couldn't. The flowers look sharp. I also don't have the technical expertise to advise you in that direction. Follow Damon's advice. You've got a great image to begin with, and I hope you can get it to where you will be totally happy. |

Thanks Damon! Yes, I do think it looks over processed and it did happen in NIK Color Efex. I wanted to get more accent in the clouds. I might try LR select sky and see what I can do. I think this one is a keeper and can be made better.
I'm so glad I put this image in. You and Dean have helped me a great deal. |

Thank you Dean. I also liked the yellow engines.I'll try to dial down Color Efex. I also saw the fringing. Thanks again.

Of course I've never done it! But I'll give it a try. That would mean layering in PS--which I don't know how to do. Maybe I can give it a try this weekend. |

I meant to put a small picture of just his hands so we could see them close up. Sort of a picture within a picture! I enlarged the picture and made my way to the hands so I could see them more clearly. |

As usual, your image is technically super. It also tells a good story. The potter's concentration is evident and his hand shows that he's been working at his art for some time. I agree that there are two focal points: the potter and his concentration and his hands. You've managed to get in both, but I'd like to see an insert of his hands. |
