Thanks Eric!
First, I'm going to check some other images for noise because I typically use the tone curve during processing.
Second, I really appreciate your comments that seem to echo Damon's and will see what I can do in LR and PS.
I'd like to get this image as good as it can get. I'm hoping to enter it in my camera club competition.
Thanks again

Hi Damon, it means I printed it out so I can refer to your suggestions. I can't remember a damn thing, so I always print it out. Makes life easier for me. I do appreciate your taking time with this. It's interesting that the tone curve adds a little noise. I do appreciate your comments. |

Thank you Damon! This was a great critique, most of which I understand! There is a lot about this Fuji that I don't understand and use. Probably because I'm not technical. Regarding the noise, I didn't raise the exposure in post. The XT3 can go as low as ISO 80. I use that or ISO 100 in high sunlight. I've never tried auto ISO, but I will. One thing I do in post is to use the Tone Curve to add a little "pop." Could that be adding noise? And finally, I'll have to find that in camera noise reduction feature! If I send this to a competition, I'll remove the trees. I did remove some from the bottom of the image. Thank you so much for taking the time on this. By the way, this is the first critique I'v printed!! Thanks again. |
