Hi Charles! This is a lovely picture and depth of field transformation. The colors are very subdued with the touch of lavender. Very nicely done! |

Hi Murphy! It's a lovely abstract but not sure what a moth crystal is. Here in Texas we have moth balls. Is that the same thing? If so, I am curious how you came about the beautiful colors in your creation. It's a lovely shot and looks like a painting. |

Pierre...You rocked it with an 800mm lens!! How difficult that would be for a lens that large and a tiny butterfly. Sometimes that happens. You use what you have for the subject you find. In spite of your difficulties, you did a great job capturing this butterfly shot. |

Hi Alane! This is a lovely abstract photo so no wonder it won an award! Congratulations!!!
I do hope your recovery time is minimal and you will be feeling much better soon. I have many friends that have had back surgery and all have been successful. Hope your daughter is able to shake the terrible infection and get the knee replacement. |

Hi Murphy! Yes, it was a once in a lifetime shot of the Sphinx Moth. I was so stunned to look down and see him land in the bloom so I quickly took the pictures hoping for the best. I think the flash scared him away.
Great suggestion on darkening the stem. I made that adjustment and like the result. I will probably add a thin white border too.
I am in the Member Showcase this month if you have not seen the pictures. |
