63 May 25 Comment Pierre...This is a lovely capture but needs more focus on the ladybug. I took the liberty to edit the picture how I see it to create more of a focal point on the ladybug. I cropped it down considerably, added a tad more red to the ladybug, and bumped the gamma down to .95 which enhances the colors of the overall picture. May 31st
63 May 25 Comment Xiao...This seems to be the bee capturing month with our members! I like the colors of the flowers the bee has chosen to land on and a nice soft DOF for the background. For a bee or any insect, bird, etc. I bump my ISO up to at least a minimum of 1200 to capture more tack sharp effects which I would suggest. The composition is lovely and you can see detail in the wings. May 31st
63 May 25 Comment Charlie...I find this picture has no WOW power. There is nothing that tells a story of where the cans might have been taken such as being discarded on a street, sidewalk, picnic, etc. They are too dark and the bright reflection on the bottom of the can is distracting to me. It's not a true black and white which to me would be much more effective. This would be a good street photography discard picture and especially if it had more subject matter such as being slightly crushed.
Just my two cents.

63 May 25 Comment Murphy...If you haven't read about the design of the woodpecker's tongue, it's a most interesting article. The design of the tongue protects the head during pecking. The capture of the bird looking in your direction and positioned on the tree is very nice along with the vivid color of red on his head. The DOF is a nice contrast to the colors of the bird. One suggestion I would have is to up your ISO to at least 2000 for a more tack sharp picture. Nice job! May 31st
63 May 25 Comment Alane...What an interesting hat with much detail on the birds! I can not imagine working with tiny beads like that and creating a hat. The lighting on the hat is beautiful as there are no dark spots nor glare and the colors are vivid. It appears to be a hierarchy with skulls at the bottom and birds looking towards the top. I think you captured this very well and all is in focus. Great job! May 31st
63 May 25 Comment Neal...Bees are not easy to capture due to their constant movement. The focal point of the picture is the praying mantis with his delicious meal. I think you captured it nicely with clear focus on the head of the mantis and bee. The front claw of the mantis clutching the bee clearly tells the story the bee is for dinner! Nice job!! May 31st
