Hi Murphy! Old wood has so many possibilities and I think you have produced one. Nice subject and bumping up the color saturation was a great idea! Great shot!!! |

Neal...Nature is so interesting how that little spider was originally on a surface that blended in with his colors. He looks to be very tiny yet you captured detail with him. The multiple exposures stacked in Helicon bring out so much more in a subject than just a single shot. You did a very nice job capturing his detail and contrast of the different colors. |

Charlie...This is a beautiful thistle and deserves to be recognized. I like how it has the rule of thirds in its alignment. The blooming thistle is the focal point of the picture but my eye was distracted by the twisted stem below. I cropped out some of the twisted stem and used the healing brush to remove the rest. This is my version. I like the subtle choice of background against the petals of the thistle. Very nice subject and photo! |

Glad you found this little critter outside and not inside. He is quite colorful and the design on his back is very striking. A few weeks ago, I took an online class on photo stacking vs. in the camera stacking. It was very interesting the points that were compared in the discussion. Overall, the instructor preferred stacking pictures through software. The capture brings out detail on the body and in post processing, I would enhance his color a bit more. Overall, nice photo! |

This is a very nice display of the "odd" number of candies. I like the colors chosen and the display on the reflective dark glass. That is not an easy task because the lighting is what makes the reflection, thus the result of the final picture. The 25 stacks are focused well with good coverage for all three of the candies showing the sugar detail on each one. One suggestion I would have is to crop down from the top just a bit. Great image! |

Thanks Pierre! I love going to the local grocery store where they have a $3.99 selection of flowers in the floral dept. Never know what they will have to select from. Detail has always been my thing so anything macro catches my eye immediately. |

Hi Murphy!
Thank you for the critique. I pondered the black area as you have suggested and almost submitted a different pose with no background to show. I ended up submitting this one knowing it would bring in interesting viewpoints and always something to learn from. |
