Murphy...I love the drew drops and the geometric design! Nice shot with good light to make the dew drops stand out. The thin border connects the dots and draws the picture together. Great job! |

Priscilla...I can see a darker image making for more of a Still Life look. The concept is nice with the placement of the roses but I find there is distraction with the background and reflection lines and no contrast between the background and the surface where it stands. The simplicity of the picture though is very nice. Perhaps laying the rose on top or part of a book would give it more pop. |

Alane...The duck was an exceptional find when you least expected it! The colors are beautiful against the lighter color water and the clarity and sharpness make for a beautiful picture. |

Neal...This is a great shot of such a tiny little creature. The lighting and setting enhances the texture and color of the spider. The picture was not made dead center but at an angle in the upper left of the picture. Very nice shot!! |

Charles...I like the Kiwi positioned at an angle and the shadow cast on the black glass. The detail in the fruit is tack sharp and especially stands out against the dark background. It has a bit of a Still Life look to the scene with the shadow. Very nicely done. |

Murphy...There is much for me to learn about Still Life Photography and this picture was taken at a workshop I attended and everyone took the same picture. I want to learn more about SLP and improve where I can. You will not see that dish towel in any other picture I take!!😊I agree it does not belong there but it was the setting we were required to use. The feedback from everyone on this picture is important to me for future attempts at Still Life. |

Charles...I was reluctant to submit this picture due to the fact that it was taken at a workshop and everything was set up for us. Guess I was more curious than anything to see what comments would be made. I am interested in Still Life Photography and learning about shadows, depth of field, background, etc. to make it a SL photo. I couldn't agree more that the dish towel does not go with the scene! It is what it was and everyone's comments are highly regarded!! |
