The glad is beautiful and I like how you have positioned it in the Rule of Thirds. I have several suggestions. From the left, crop in more and remove the "stray" green stuff. Crop to the smaller and longer leaf removing what is behind there. I would also suggest removing the green pointed piece on the bottom right. It's distracting and also removing the frame. Darken the flower to a -3 and you will have more contrast to detail. You chose a beautiful flower, gladiola, to work with. |

The variety of colors and shapes with the lone red pepper in the middle adds interest to the picture. You did a nice job of selecting your composition and the lighting is good for this type of image. |

Alane...Capturing the center of this flower with all the detail and some of the outer area of the petals makes for a nice image. The petals almost have a pearlized look as they are more subdued with the contrast of the center in colors of yellow and brown. One thing I would highly recommend, if you have Photoshop, remove all the little brown flecks on the petals with the Spot Healing Brush Tool. The spots are a bit distracting and they can so easily be removed. It's one of my most used tools in Photoshop. |

Murphy...I like your Teasels display! Very nicely done with lighting that accentuates the detail in the Teasels. I have never heard of this plant variety but it is interesting. The time of day you selected to capture this picture was good planning on your part. |
