Those bugs don't look like Texas ants! They look more like aphids. Whatever they are, it adds interest to your picture. The composition of the pink bud with the critters, the clarity, and lighting makes for a lovely picture. I would suggest "burning" the entire background in Photoshop to make the pink bud and petal POP even more. |

That is a common sight in Texas! Your camera did a nice job but it's more in the eye of the beholder that creates the composition and makes the picture appealing. I like the red mixed in with the green as it adds more interest. The lighting is good and a very tack sharp picture. It's all about creativity and you captured that with the contrast in these peppers. Very nice! |

Neal...Isn't it amazing that a macro lens can reveal on such a tiny critter. The face is your focal point with attention to sharpness. My suggestion would be to sharpen the hairs behind his head and all of his legs. Beyond that is not necessary. Use of the macro rail was a good idea as you have more control over what you want to sharpen. You put in a lot of work to capture this picture. Nice job! |

Murphy...This photo is lovely! The clarity of the dew drops and the asymmetrical design of the web adds much interest to the photo. The depth of field enhances the dew drops and the web. Great job! |

Murphy...I agree! They do not seem to relate and that's what makes it interesting. It was not a planned shot but a diversion from birds at the feeder. The more I looked at it on the computer, I decided it had some potential and kept it. |
