63 May 23 Reply The wood was old and weathered and the B&W tone brought out the texture of the old wood. May 13th
63 May 23 Reply Thank you. The sepia tone would be a nice as well. I do use that on occasion and it adds a whole different twist to the picture. May 13th
63 May 23 Comment Barbara...It's a lovely image and I understand what you are trying to accomplish. I have Cereus night bloomers in the summertime and I am outside at 2:00am trying to capture their beautiful blooms in the dark. By morning they have closed and then wilt. What I do is to take a white reflector and bounce the light off of it from my flash to highlight the bloom. It works like a charm and in processing you can adjust the look you want for the final result. May 11th
63 May 23 Comment Such a beautiful bird with gorgeous colors! I think your capture of "sleeping beauty" is lovely with the added moisture on the feathers. Might want to bump the exposure up just a tad. Nice job! May 11th
63 May 23 Comment Cute little subject but glad he likes the outdoors!! You have a nice rule of thirds composition with the bug. I might suggest a slightly lower exposure for the leaf which would darken the bug and perhaps add some contrast. You can always enhance the subject with burn and dodge adjustments. May 11th
63 May 23 Comment What a fun project with such a colorful subject! May I make a few suggestions. The background is too bright making the subject slightly overblown. I would tone down the background first which will tone down the subject. Balance the light exposure between the two and if need be, dodge the fish in areas that seem slightly dark. May 11th
63 May 23 Comment This is a lovely abstract image! The colors are nicely displayed as well as the composition you chose to display. I might have removed the dots on the left side but that is a matter of choice. Great shot! May 11th
63 May 23 Comment The reflection of the gears gives a nice depth to the picture. Everything is in focus and the different colors and designs make for a very nice interesting photo. The lighting is just right. Very nice shot! May 11th
63 May 23 Reply Thank you. This place had been abandoned for years and was deteriorating but still had some interesting sights for photos. The original picture is in color but the B&W made such a difference in its appearance. May 11th
