A very nice sharp red velvet rose! Red is hard to photograph and you captured this nicely. I would suggest cropping out some of the area around it or "burning" it down in Photoshop. |

I like the color mixture of your vases. Nicely done with the reflection. If you have a piece of black mirror, that would be a fun thing to see what reflections you could capture. Very creative! |

It's a nice beginning but I would suggest adding more of the petal to the picture and possibly adding a pearl to make it pop. The colors are lovely but overall it is slightly out of focus. |

There is clarity throughout the entire shot and especially the eye. It was a lucky shot and you did a nice job capturing it. |

Very nice shot, DOF, and color! I like the fact that the buds are not part of the focus of the large bloom but more subdued. The Rule of Thirds is portrayed in the balance of the bloom and makes for a stunning photo! |

Cute little guy but boy can they do damage to a plant!
Several things I would suggest. Next time, take the picture a little farther away and you will keep your DOF but you will have a much more in-focus picture. Your ISO is low so I would suggest anywhere between 640 and 800 and increase your shutter speed. It's important for your subject to be in tack sharp focus and you can always crop the picture for closeness. I have learned on the Macro 105 backing up to take the picture works much better than a close shot. |
