30 Apr 23 Reply Thanks Jody - you did a nice job - 90-100 mm lens is what I like to use for people also. Apr 4th
30 Apr 23 Reply I was asking for how long was the shutter open, what f stop did you use and what was you ISO if you could provide. Apr 4th
30 Apr 23 Reply The engineer is applying oil to the wheels of the engine surrounded in a cloud of steam is what I was trying to say. I can see lowering the brightness of the blue cars - that was their color. Apr 4th
30 Apr 23 Comment The simplicity of this scene I find relaxing. The yellow boat hull against the greenish water is a nice color combination. The mooring line to the boat provides a great leading line especially being at a diagonal. I find the pinkish color in the boat's reflection puzzling since the hull color is yellow. In my monitor an area of the hull and the inside of the boat are overexposed. But overall the image has impact and is pleasing to look at. By the way, what were your camera settings. Apr 3rd
30 Apr 23 Comment Good crop and pose of the hunter. I like the turkey decoy facing the opposite direction to the hunters. The blurred background draws our attention well to the subject. You have good lighting and detail on the man's face. I would like to know your camera settings for this image, and, the camera and lens used. Apr 3rd
30 Apr 23 Comment Good capture. Good lens for this subject. When I first looked at the image, I thought the car was moving because of the blur you added. Then I noticed the ground area. Sharpness, color, lighting and crop all make this an image you might want to frame,. Nicely done. Apr 3rd
30 Apr 23 Comment Nice placement and angle of equipment in frame. I like old equipment as well. You have good detail of the rusted equipment. Just as suggestions, I would give a little more room from the right edge to the tractor. You might mask in a glow filter to just the rusted tractor which could add some pop. And, you could try adding a little blur to the building and adjoining foliage to seperate it more from the tractor. Just some thoughts I had. Apr 3rd
30 Apr 23 Comment Interesting image with the large "O" in the middle that catches my eye every time I look at this. I know little of light painting other than seeing images over time so I can't comment on technique, but I will on the image as I see it. I like the color and intensity of the "O" or I see it as a ring of fire. Maybe brightening the sparkles coming off the ring would add additional impact. I like the person in the circle but that person needs more detail or the sky brighter to make the person's silhouette stand out. I would also suggest doing something about the bright area of sky on the right as I find it distracting. Nice vision though for your image. I would like to know camera settings if you could provide. 30 Apr 23 Comment Your shoes reminded me of similar ones done for me. The placement of the shoes and lighting are good as is the use of depth of field blur. Using black to surround the shoes really calls attention to your subject. The only thing I would suggest is to show the entire background shoe as currently it is cropped. Apr 3rd
